Park and Trail Memorial Program

The City of Wildwood is pleased to offer a Park and Trail Memorial Program intended for residents to honor and commemorate the memory of a loved one or close friend.  The City is offering three (3) different options that can be placed in a number of different active or passive park/trail locations in the City.  Please take a moment to review the three (3) options below and click on the link at right to fill out the application form.

Brick Paver Dedication
Individuals can leave their mark on history by having an engraved commemorative brick paver placed in the Old Pond School Park's outdoor patio area.

Choices of brick sizes include:
 
  8" x 16" Brick: $200
Brick engraving limited to six (6) lines of text with 28 characters per line
4" x 8" Brick: $50
Brick engraving limited to three (3) lines of text with 14 characters per line

Please note, the City will cover the cost associated with the installation of the brick.
 
Tree Dedication
There are a number of locations where an individual can be honored by planting a tree.  These locations include: Anniversary Park, Old Pond School Park, Glencoe Park, Woodcliff Heights Park, Kohn Park, and the Community Park.

The following are choices of tree species and associated memorial plaques for this purpose:
Evergreen Tree:
Norway Spruce (7 ft.: $180)
 
Shade Trees
Autumn Gold Ginkgo (2" diameter: $200)
Bald Cypress (3" diameter: $250)
Red Maple (October Glory 2" diameter: $100)

Ornamental Trees:
Moonglow Sweetbay Magnolia (clump: $150)
Eastern Redbud (3" diameter: $190)
Pink Dogwood (6 ft.: $100)
 
Memorial Plaques:
Plaque engraving limited to: "In (Loving) Memory of (Name)"
 Standard: 3.5" x 7" (mounted on 24"stake): $205  Bronze Leaf: Approx. 8" diameter (mounted on 26" to 30" stake): $360

Bench Dedication
Bench dedications can be utilized along the City's trail system, in locations preselected by the Departments of Planning and Parks and Public Works.

The bench is six (6) feet in length, constructed of colored recycled plastic timbers, with black powdered coated finish for the frame.  The bench color selections are green, cedar, or brown.
 
Included with this dedication is a 2" x 12" plaque that is attached to the bench (flush mounted).  Plaque engraving limited to: "In (Loving) Memory of (Name)"

The total cost of this bench and plaque is $1,020.
