Plein Air Art Event

The City of Wildwood hosted its 4th Plein Air Art Event on Saturday, May 5, 2018. "En plein air is a French term that translates literally as 'in the open air.'" This type of art work is completed on location, while outdoors.

On the morning of the event, participants checked-in at City Hall, and were given the location of the event.  This year, the location was the Marianist Retreat and Conference Center.  Artists were allowed to photograph, paint, draw, etc. anything they wanted, at that location, but the catch is they had only 8 hours to complete their artwork and submit it at City Hall!

All of the artwork from this event (98 pieces of art!) are now on display in the atrium and in the Community Room at City Hall.  All are welcome to come view, and/or purchase the art during normal business hours.
