Ward Six City Council Member Greg Alexander Resigns
Wildwood, Mo. – City Council Member Greg Alexander has tendered his resignation as City Council Member for Ward Six, citing growing demands with his business. “I feel deeply responsible to represent my ward to the best of my ability, but I don’t think I can do that now and also meet my responsibilities to my employees, “said Alexander.
“I’ve truly enjoyed my time on the Council and have learned so much and will forever be appreciative of the Mayor, City Council Members and City Staff who work so hard to make the city the success that it is.”
Greg Alexander was first appointed to the City Council on April 2016 and was re-elected to office in April 2017. He served on the Planning & Parks Committee, Economic Development Committee, Rural Internet Access Committee and Parks Action Plan Update Committee; he was also recently selected by his fellow Council Members to serve as Mayor Pro Tempore.
“I want to thank Greg for his positive contributions to Wildwood and wish him the best in the future,” said Mayor Jim Bowlin.
Mayor Bowlin has begun the search for a replacement.
