St. Louis County Police Department - Wildwood Precinct

The City of Wildwood contracts with the St. Louis County Police Department to provide a full range of police services to the citizens of Wildwood. This includes:

  • The Precinct Captain, a Lieutenant, four Sergeants and 27 police officers are assigned to the Wildwood Precinct.  The Wildwood Precinct now maintains a minimum of 4 beats 24 hour a day.  Beat plans have been revised within the Precinct for four to six beat officers for any given shift.
  • Four School Resource Officers at Lafayette High, LaSalle Springs Middle, Rockwood Valley Middle and Wildwood Middle Schools of the Rockwood School District are also within the Wildwood Precinct 
In addition to the 37 police officers and one civilian permanently assigned to the Wildwood Precinct, there are over 700 commissioned police officers on the St. Louis County Police Department that are readily available to address ANY major police concern that could develop. Detectives with the St. Louis County Division of Criminal Investigation conduct investigations of felony crimes or any situation as requested by the Wildwood supervisors. All police-related resources available to the St. Louis County Police Department are available to the City of Wildwood.
