New City Hall Proposed Design Changes

The New City Hall project architects presented proposed building design modifications at a Public Forum held Tuesday evening, August 31, 2010 at City Hall. The proposed modifications, illustrated here, feature the addition of a clock tower and new first floor entrance along Main Street, and changes to the east side of the building creating an extension of the public plaza area along the Main Street frontage of the building. Numerous comments and suggestions were expressed by residents in attendance, and the meeting concluded with the architects, City Hall Steering Committee Members and City Officials agreeing to consider and evaluate suggestions received over the next couple of weeks. Building plans will be revised and refined further for presentation to the City's Architectural Review Board later this month. Their meeting date will be announced soon on the City website and e-newsletter.
