| Cabin Fever Hike - CANCELLED |
 |
The Cabin Fever Hike, scheduled for tomorrow - February 23rd, has been cancelled due to the inclement weather and trail conditions. Unfortunately, we are unable to reschedule this event this year. This event is held each year on the last Saturday of February and we hope to see each of you at the Cabin Fever Hike in 2009.
We apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation may have caused and we appreciate everyone's understanding in our decision to be cautious and keep all of our parks and recreation participants safe. |

St. Louis County Police Department is conducting a survey of residents who live in either unincorporated areas or where policing services are contracted with them by municipalities. The City of Wildwood is a municipality that maintains a contract with the St. Louis County Police Department for our police services. This citizen satisfaction survey is very short and will only take a minute of your time. Please assist us, and the County Police Department, by providing your opinion. The survey can be found at the link below:

Q - Do I need to pick up after my pet; if so how should I dispose of the waste?
A - YES! Every pet owner is responsible for their pet's actions, including the dirty task of picking up after Fido (not to exclude cats, horses, cows, chickens and other pets). According to Chapter 205: Animal Regulations, Section 205.020 of the City's ordinances; every person responsible for a dog, cat, puppy, kitten or other animal shall keep it from creating a nuisance. Another City ordinance that would apply is Section 215.050 "Nuisance".
In conjunction with picking up after the pet(s) is the disposal of the waste. Under no circumstance shall any person dispose of the waste in any storm sewer; creek; ditch or on another person's property. Additional codes that would be applicable can be viewed at http://codes.sullivanpublications.com/wildwood-slp; in the search field, type in any section number (i.e. 205.020) and that section will appear.
The intent of these codes are not to discourage residents from owning pets or from taking their current pets on walks throughout the City, but instead are tools intended to promote the health, safety and welfare for our residents and our visitors. If you are aware of a resident who is failing to pick up after their pet or is disposing of the waste improperly, please contact Code Enforcement, via the 'Report a Code Violation' on-line form link below:
