| This Week's Q & A...Sidewalk Connection? |
 |
Q. What is the possibility of a sidewalk being constructed on Truman Road between Westglen Farms Drive and Autumn View Terrace Drive as a joint effort of the cities of Wildwood and Ellisville? With the Ellisville Towne Center so close to Wildwood, there are a lot of Wildwood residents that would like to safely walk to Kohl's, Home Depot, and the other businesses there. There are sidewalks everywhere except between Westglen Farms Drive and Autumn View Terrace Drive.
A. City staff contacted officials in the City of Ellisville regarding this area and the possibility of a sidewalk/trail being constructed on the portion within their city limits. Neither city has money available for this project in the current fiscal year. However, Wildwood staff will work with the City of Ellisville to evaluate the feasibility and potential costs of this project and see if it could be done in future years. |
