| Your Help is Needed! |
 |
As the weather warms up, we are seeing an increase in graffiti and vandalism in the City parks and on the multiple-use trails. If you notice an act in progress, please contact the police by either calling 911 or 636-458-9194. If you come across any graffiti or vandalism, please contact the City so we can fix the damage and maintain a quality environment in our parks and trails. Thank you for your assistance!
Any reports in the parks or on the trails can be forwarded to Kathy Arnett via email at kathy@cityofwildwood.com or via telephone at 636-458-0440 x126. We appreciate your help. |

-
Become a Sponsor - A variety of sponsorship levels are available, with great visibility at the Celebration, which last year hosted 6,000 attendees.
-
Become a Volunteer - Assistance is needed all day. Consider giving a few hours to your community. |

| Is That Allowed? Code Question of the Week... |

Q - Do I need a permit to replace an existing retaining wall?
A - In most instances, yes. Retaining walls that are three (3) feet in height or taller and/or support a load, such as a driveway, require a building permit, even if it is an existing wall that is being replaced. If the wall is less than three (3) feet in height and is not load bearing, then a permit is not required.

| This Week's Question of the Week...Farmers Market |
 |
Q. I previously read that Wildwood was considering hosting a Farmer's Market, which would be great. What is the status on the market?
A. The City Council approved a package of offerings the City is willing to provide to any entity in support of a Farmer's Market. The City believes the true success of a market would be via a private/public partnership. At this time, there is not a private entity that has stepped forward to work with the City on this endeavor. The City hopes that, at some point, a private entity will approach it regarding this type of partnership and make a Farmers Market a reality in Wildwood. |

The final portion of the Hamilton-Carr Mulitple-Use Trail and the underpass of Old State Road is complete (with just some detail work remaining)! We got a break from Mother Nature this week and the final segment of trail and the tunnel were able to be paved and connect the original two (2) sections of this trail. Trail users can now ride/walk/run from Woods Road and connect to the Al Foster Trail via the underpass. The Al Foster Trail is 4.5 miles in length from the Glencoe Trailhead to Castlewood State Park. With the completion of the Hamilton-Carr Trail, the full length from Rockwoods Reservation (Woods Road) to Castlewood State Park is now 5.9 linear miles. |
