| New City Council Member Appointed |

Appointed to the City Council, at their meeting held July 14, 2008, Michele R. Bauer will fill the vacant City Council seat for Ward 8. Council Member Bauer will serve an unexpired term until the next general municipal election, which will be held in April 2009. She is a trustee for the Westridge Oaks Subdivision and has served as a volunteer for many other organizations. Wildwood City Hall and municipal offices will be moving to a new location by the end of the year as a result of action taken by City Council July 14, 2008 to authorize leasing space in the building located at the corner of Plaza Drive and Fountain Place in Town Center. The City's annual Wildwood Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008. This family friendly event will be held at Babler State Park from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. There are a number of ways to get involved...

Become a Vendor - There are opportunities as either an exhibitor/non-food vendor or as a food vendor at the Celebration.

Become a Sponsor - A variety of sponsorship levels are available, with great visibility at the Celebration, which last year hosted 6,000 attendees.

Become a Volunteer - Assistance is needed all day. Consider giving a few hours to your community. |

A - Yes. In accordance with City Ordinance 230.030, every occupant and property owner of any premises wherein any waste is produced or accumulated shall be, jointly and severally, responsible to provide for waste collection and removal service for all waste generated on the premises. |

Q. Several of our surrounding neighbors have concerts in their parks. Does Wildwood plan on doing this?
A. 2008 is the 11th year the City has hosted a concert series. The City offers 3 concerts each year. This year's event dates and bands are listed below. Click the name of the band for more information:
The concerts will be held in the Town Center Plaza, which is just north of the Wildwood Hotel. The City also provides refreshments free of charge. You will need to bring a lawn chair. |
