City Hall Closed
City Hall offices will be closed on Monday, May 28th in honor of Memorial Day.  Visit us on-line, anytime at www.cityofwildwood.com.  The City Council meeting, which would normally be held on Monday, will be held on Tuesday, May 29th.

City officials and staff wish you and your family a safe and happy Memorial Day holiday.
Change in Trash Pick-up Next Week
The Memorial Day Holiday is observed by Veolia, the City's trash hauler. Therefore, all services (trash, recycling and yard waste) will be delayed one day next week.  For a list of  holidays observed by Veolia for 2007, please visit: Veolia holiday list.

Ossenfort Road Bridge Replacement
The City is about to begin the bridge replacement on Ossenfort Road over Wildhorse Creek just south of the intersection of Ossenfort Road and Wildhorse Creek Road.  The existing bridge will be CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC during construction of the new bridge.  The bridge closure is expected to begin during the week of June 4, 2007.  The bridge will be closed for approximately three months during construction.  Ossenfort Road traffic will be diverted by detour signs and electronic message boards will be placed on Ossenfort Road adjacent to the bridge to notify motorists of the actual closure date.

Residents who are immediately effected have been notified.  We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.  Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we work to improve the City's roads and bridges.
Concrete Slab Replacement Program
With the warmer weather upon us, comes annual improvement programs, such as the replacement of concrete slabs. Please remind your children (or other adults) that writing names or other information in the wet slabs is considered destruction of city property and they can be prosecuted.  This has been an ongoing problem and is expensive to correct.  We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

If you would like to 'leave your mark' on the City, consider purchasing a brick at the Old Pond School. Your engraved brick will be placed in the patio at the school and your tax-deductible donation will help cover the cost of this historic one-room schoolhouse's renovation.  For more information on this project, including links to the Adopt-a-Brick program, click here: Old Pond School
Household Hazardous Recycling
St. Louis County Department of Health is providing residents with one (1) more opportunity this Spring to recycle hazardous household materials including paints, stains, varnishes, poisons, pesticides and herbicides. The last of these events is Saturday, June 2, 2007. So if you come across these items over the next two (2) weeks, you will have an additional opportunity to recycle them. Please click the link below for more information:
