Amateur Photography Contest
The time to submit pictures for the annual amateur photography contest has now closed.  Over 280 photographs were submitted for a chance to be one of the thirteen (13) pictures featured in the City's 2008 Calendar.  Voting will open next Friday, August 24, 2007 at 9:00 a.m.
 
Thank you to all of you who submitted your photographs. They are truly magnificent and showcase what a great city Wildwood is!
City Concert Series
One week until the first concert of 2008.  Plan on joining us next Friday, August 24th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Old Pond School as we enjoy Beatles' music brought to life by BritBeat.
 
The City provides great music, Cold Stone Creamery ice cream (first 500 attendees), kettle corn, and beverages all FREE of charge.  Bring your lawn chairs and join us on the following dates...
Wildwood Celebration 2007
Only one month to the City's largest event of the year.  Bring the entire family to Babler State Park on Saturday, September 15th from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for loads of fun!  Great music:
  • Interactive performance with Radio Disney
  • Building Rome
  • Smash Band
Great food...large variety of vendors...climbing wall...washers tournament...closest to the pin tournament...casting tournament...kid's area loaded with free games and crafts for all ages...police and fire exhibits...moon bounce...radar pitching...obstacle course...huge inflatable slide...historical displays...and much more!!!
 
You don't want to miss this fun family event.  All activities are FREE. Families only pay for food, beverages, and goods being sold by vendors.

Blood Drive
The City is considering hosting a blood drive this Fall to support the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center.  This center is the sole provider to SSM Hospitals.  In an effort to gauge support of this event, we are requesting individuals who would be interested in donating blood, to send their name and phone number in an email to Kathy Arnett: kathy@cityofwildwood.com.  Please put Blood Drive in the subject line of your email.  If there is enough interest, we will contact you with the date of the event.
