| City Receives Grant Funding from State |
|
The City learned last week they were awarded $100,000 towards the construction of the Wildwood Greenway Phase 7 multiple-use trail. Construction of this project will take place in 2008. This phase will extend the existing trail north from its terminus at Clayton Road and State Route 109, near Lafayette High School. This segment is 1.2 miles in length and will connect the existing trail to the Garden Valley Farms Subdivision.
This grant was awarded by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources as part of their Recreational Trails Program and represents the maximum possible funding. Fifty-seven (57) applications were submitted, with sixteen (16) projects being funded. |
