Is That Allowed? Code Enforcement Question of the Week...
Q. Do I need a permit to erect a fence?

A.  Maybe; A permit will be required if the fence serves as a barrier for a swimming pool and that fence/barrier will need to meet the requirements of the ICC Building Code.  Other fences/barriers that are six (6) feet or less in height do not require Municipal Zoning Approval or a building permit.  It is suggested that residents check with their subdivision's trustees to verify if the subdivision has any regulations pertaining to fences.
This Week's Q & A...Can people sell things door-to-door?
Q. What are the codes / laws on solicitations in neighborhoods?  What is allowed for going door to door in Wildwood?

A.  Solicitation licenses can be issued to individuals for a variety of retail businesses.  However, noone can solicit door-to-door without first receiving a Certificate of Registration from the City.  The City's Municipal Code addresses Soliciting in Chapter 610.  Click the link below to visit the City's On-line Code.
