Strecker Road Bridge Replacement
August 11, 2019
Strecker Road was re-opened today to traffic. The contractor will still be working in the area for the next few weeks to complete the project, so please use caution when traveling through the area.
June 28, 2019
The contractor has completed the substructure of the new bridge and placed the new girders. They will continue working on forming the new bridge deck and plan to pour it in mid-July. The contractor is currently still on schedule to open the road by late August.
May 29, 2019
Strecker Road was closed at the bridge today and the detour signs were placed. The Contractor began the bridge demolition and will be working on the substructure of the new bridge over the next month.
May 14, 2019
The City's contractor, Gershenson Construction, will close Strecker Road at 7:00 am on May 28 to begin this project. Ameren crews will be on site performing some utility relocation work over the next few weeks in preparation for the bridge replacement. Electronic message boards were placed at the bridge location to notify motorists of the upcoming closure. The closure is expected to be in place until late August. Motorists will need to use the signed detour route along Clayton and Valley Roads for the duration of the closure.
Project Overview
This project will replace the bridge on Strecker Road over Caulks Creek located between Wildwood Meadows Court and Quaethem Drive. Strecker Road will be closed at the project site for approximately ninety (90) days to construct this project. A signed detour route will be in place using Clayton Road and Valley Road.
