Fox Creek Road Bridge Replacement
Fox Creek Project Updates:
February 24, 2017:
The contractor will complete the staining of the concrete barrier walls this spring when the temperatures are warm enough for painting.
December 23, 2016:
The contractor re-opened Fox Creek Road this afternoon. They will still be working in the area for the next few weeks, so please use caution when traveling through the work zone.
December 2, 2016:
The contractor has poured the bridge deck and will be working on approach asphalt and the concrete barrier walls over the next few weeks. They intend to re-open the road by December 23, 2016.
November 2, 2016:
The contractor has completed the sub-structure for the new bridge and installed the girders . They will form and pour the bridge deck over the next few weeks and begin installation of the bridge barrier walls later in November.
October 5, 2016:
The contractor has completed most of the creek bank work and is installing the sub-structure for the new bridge. They will continue sub-structure work over the next few weeks in preparation for installing the new girders later in October.
September 14, 2016:
Fox Creek Road is currently closed at the project location and will remain closed until the new bridge is completed. The existing bridge has been removed and the contractor is working on the creek bank relocations. The will start working on the sub-structure for the new bridge over the next few weeks.
Project Overview:
This project will replace the existing substandard one lane bridge on Fox Creek Road. located just south or Route 100, with a new structure consisting of two 11' driving lanes with 4' shoulders. Fox Creek Road will be CLOSED at the bridge location during the construction. The closure is expected to be in place until mid-December of 2016. A signed detour route will be in place using Melrose Road and Allenton Road.
